This thematic unit study aims to provide high school students with a comprehensive understanding of Henry Flagler's railroad, its historical significance, and its lasting impact on the State of Florida. Unit requires significant research, thus access to resources are needed to complete activities. Internet access as well as libraries, historical societies, museums, documentaries, and resources will be needed for successful completion. Florida Home Educators may wish to include the title of this unit in the educational activity log, or samples of work completed for this unit in the student’s homeschool portfolio, or both. Depending on approach, course credit for the high school transcript may be awarded in social sciences (history, economics), engineering technologies, or elective areas. This is not a student workbook, but a framework of lesson plans to assign by the course instructor or facilitator. Digital file. Pages: 7
