Old Florida Museum

Welcome to the Old Florida Museum at the Agricultural Center! 

The Florida Homeschool Association (FLHSA) is pleased to invite you to participate in a statewide field trip for Florida homeschoolers and their families! 

All Florida homeschoolers are welcome to join us. 

You do not have to be an FLHSA member to attend, but members of the FLHSA receive a 20% discount on the ticket price! (If you are not currently a member and would like to receive a discount on this and all future tickets, you may first join the FLHSA, then return back here to purchase your ticket. Program

The program will consist of general admission to the facility, plus two (2) scheduled classes. 

Classes are:

1. Timucua Indian Program
2. Spanish Colonial program

Each class is 40-45 minutes in length (approximately 20 minutes historical presentation + 20 minutes interactive activities).

We will also have the opportunity to shop in the Museum Store. There is a small retail store available with reasonably priced items that pertain to the museum and its theme. Cash, credit and debit cards are accepted.

Arrival Time

9:30 a.m for check in. 

10:00 am for entrance.

Late-comers will not be admitted, so please arrive by 9:30 to guarantee we do not delay the group.

Group Ambassador

You will meet our Group Ambassador near the entrance no later than 9:30. Look for someone in a pink Florida Homeschool Association t-shirt.

Tickets - Member & Non-Member

Non-member tickets are $18 per person, for ages 4 and up. 

Members of the Florida Homeschool Association (FLHSA) receive a discounted ticket price of 20% for every member of the family. The member of the FLHSA should be logged into our website BEFORE purchasing the ticket, to receive the discount. The membership will be verified, and the discount applied. 

Remember that all children 3 and under are FREE.

There is a limit of 8 tickets per party.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, so please plan accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we  are unable to refund tickets for those who cannot attend.

(Tickets are not required for toddlers ages 0-3. You will be asked to report the number of toddlers in your headcount upon registration however.)

Designated Lunch Period

Lunch is from 11:30-12 in the shaded, open picnic area. You are welcome to bring coolers and bagged lunches or have lunch delivered by any of several local restaurants that deliver to the location.

No Additional Guests

Additional guests are not permitted to enter with our group. While tickets to the public are sold (full price) due to the limit on group sizes, we will not be able to add additional guests at the door. Be sure to purchase as many tickets as you will need, as we will not be able to add extra guests at the door. Extra guests will not be able to attend our pre-scheduled classes and programs with us.

Refunds

Due to the nature of this activity, we are unable to offer refunds for any reason (except in the unlikely event that this field trip gets canceled).

Check email prior to event for any special details that may be emailed to you in advance of the trip! We might not email you, but please check, in case there is anything important that we need to share with you prior to this event.

More Information from the Museum

• All trips are Rain or Shine & Hot or Cold! 
• You will be in and out of covered areas during your programs. You should dress accordingly for the weather. 
• Wear comfortable shoes as there is going to be walking involved. Flip Flops and open toe shoes are welcome but are not recommended. 
• Bring plenty of bottled water to drink on hot days.
• No foods, candy, gum or liquids (except bottled water) are allowed in the museum.Foods and beverages are only allowed in the designated picnic areas.
• As this is a farm, there is a chance you will encounter animals during your visit. NEVER pet or feed any animals while visiting the museum unless otherwise instructed. Some animals could bite and others may have food allergies that you are unaware of.
• Video and photography is encouraged, but no photos or video for promotional or commercial purposes
